In 2023, what I saw while running, stopping, and lying down.
In 2022, I was busy prioritizing work and local community duties. I don't even remember reflecting on myself much.
In 2023, triggered by a stumble at work, my time for introspection increased dramatically, and from there, I added actions to test myself, resulting in a year with a wide range of emotions.
I think it was quite a fulfilling year.
At 40 years old, it was a year where I ran at my own pace.
In June, I planned a free monitor project called "I'll make your advertisement" and produced images and videos for 10 people. It took two and a half months to talk to everyone online and complete the deliveries.
<Magazine collecting articles that document the process>
<Magazine collecting articles that introduce the delivered works>
The connections I made with those people at that time remain strong, and a relationship has formed where I not only want to support them from the bottom of my heart but also want them to listen to my own story.
One day in September, I was contacted by someone who saw the results and posts of that monitor project, and I was asked to make an "introductory video" for a project they were about to launch.
I took my time, had them share the thoughts leading up to the project, and there were even moments while writing the script where they shared even deeper thoughts. For me, this work was actually my favorite, and perhaps it was the time I was most immersed due to my strong curiosity about people.
It might not be considered good from a business perspective, but I wanted to keep revising until I was satisfied, no matter how many times it took.
However, in the process, I faced emotions I didn't want to see and ended up bedridden for about two days.
But in the process of finishing the script and turning it into a video, I exerted the highest level of concentration in my life and felt as if I had poured out everything within me.
And this became my first experience of being paid for my own original product.
It was a culmination of 2023, a job that made me want to cry, and for which I felt nothing but gratitude for everything.
Immediately after delivering it, I sat on the sofa and fell asleep in seconds.
I delivered it on Friday, December 15th, and from the next day on, I spent time that felt like it was stretching endlessly.
I watched movies, made New Year's decorations at a bakery event, went to lunch with community center staff, talked on Zoom with people I connected with through "I'll make your advertisement," and went to the hair salon.
A time of complete relaxation after a sense of accomplishment.
It was a week where I felt, "Ah, I'm happy."
At that time, I learned that
Chabohachi-san, who recently published a Kindle book,Chabohachi, and Kaze no Boushi-san, who supported them, were having a Stand.fm live stream.
Oh! That duo's Stand.fm! And if it's live, I have to listen! I thought, and while listening and laughing out loud while commenting, feeling the hot passion that can only come from someone who has completed a challenge like Chabohachi-san, my focus shifted to an unexpected place.
During the live stream, Kaze no Boushi-san said something like,
"Once you finish writing a book, it feels like you've solved a problem, and you want to challenge yourself with the next one," and those words struck me deeply and wouldn't leave my head.
Many challenges I faced this year.
Looking back further, I had begun to vaguely realize that they might be deeply connected to the causes of my worries and stumbles over the past few years.
I want to solve this no matter what.
Couldn't I also find a clue to a solution by writing?
Rather than wanting to publish, I want to try writing with the support of Boushi-san, whom I trust. That alone has considerable value... gulp.
Before I knew it, I was contacting Kaze no Boushi-san. lol
When I reported it to Chabohachi-san, they commented,
"You're fast at work, lol." Right? lol
I also received a very warm message of support.
I had Kaze no Boushi-san make a video for me with the theme of 'I will create your advertisement,' and ever since then, I had actually been thinking, 'I would like to get a little closer to you...'
However, I would like to take this opportunity to confess, under the cover of the chaos, the fact that I, being a modest person who tends to be a bit reserved with the opposite sex, took this chance to get closer.
Spiritually speaking, this is like
attracting necessary connections from relaxed vibrations,
and in practical terms, it is like all actions leading to the future.
I would like to welcome 2024 while savoring such emotion and gratitude.
