The World of Absorb.m.s

At dusk, the lights in the city begin to flicker on.

On my way home after work.
There is a small general store with pale green walls.

My eyes are drawn to the glow of the lights inside the shop.

A sign stands at the entrance: "Absorb.m.s"
(Absorb.m.s)

Does it mean to captivate?

I enter the shop.
The scent of musk and lavender.
Western music is playing.

There is a flat table,
lined with keychains and small items.
Many of the items have a gender-neutral aesthetic.

When I buy miscellaneous goods, I often choose them
seeking a "change of mood" or "healing" rather than functionality.

In the midst of busy days, I want to be saved
by a "favorite" that catches my eye in a fleeting moment.

A pouch with a bookshelf pattern
in a slightly nostalgic color catches my eye.

(The pouch I have now is still usable, but having this bookshelf-patterned pouch in my bag would lift my spirits a little.)

I pick up the bookshelf-patterned pouch and head to the register.

The area around the register is lit by a gentle lamp.
Small items with motifs of stars, keys, and old Western books.
Just looking at them makes me feel excited.

The shopkeeper says,
"Please come back and browse at your leisure again."

I reply,
"Yes, I will!"


I feel like I've found a little secret hideaway.

Back home,
it's my own time before I fall asleep.

By the soft light of the lamp,
I gaze at the bookshelf-patterned pouch I bought today.

Oh, come to think of it, the song playing in the shop
is Hoppípolla by Sigur Rós.

It was playing at the end of the movie "Penelope."

I think I'll watch Penelope before I go to sleep tonight for the first time in a while.

They must surely be influencing my product creation

For the sake of future product creation and
to stay consistent, I want to write them down
