The best birthday present and plans for tomorrow from my daughter in her fourth year of working.
Yesterday, my daughter opened up to me about a difficult experience she had at work.
As a mother, I was worried for a while, wondering if she was okay, but today she did a complete turnaround and seems to be enjoying her private time out watching a baseball game with her friends.
I am relieved to see how quickly she can switch gears and how she robustly enjoys every day.
The other day, she made me a wonderful proposal:
"I'm getting a bonus, so let me buy you something that covers Father's Day, my bonus, and your birthday all at once!"
Actually, until my daughter reached her fourth year of working, even when she said things like that, I kept refusing, saying,
"I don't need anything. Take that money and invest it in your NISA to grow it properly."
However, my daughter said this with a reliable smile:
"My investments are growing steadily, and I'm earning enough from my salary and bonuses, so it's fine!"
Hearing her say that she has built a solid foundation for her assets and her life on her own, I felt a sense of relief and pride in her growth as a parent, and I decided to accept her kindness, saying,
"Well then, I'll accept without hesitation..."
I asked for a microwave oven that had been acting up lately, and I left the budget and the manufacturer entirely up to her.
The surprising "Bistro" that arrived at our home
And today, the gift I was looking forward to arrived at our home.
I was surprised when I opened the box. What arrived was none other than a Panasonic "Bistro Oven Range"!
Even though I left the budget to her, I was thrilled by such a wonderful choice that exceeded my expectations. I was truly touched by my daughter's generosity and the feelings she put into choosing it so hard to make me happy, and my heart was full.
Just seeing the high-performance oven range sitting in the kitchen makes me feel excited. I can't wait to make the most of this "Bistro" to treat my daughter to some exceptionally delicious home-cooked meals when she comes home to visit.
Tomorrow, a drive for the two of us for the first time in a while
And the fun continues tomorrow.
Actually, tomorrow, my daughter and I are going for a drive together for the first time in a while.
She saw the three piercings in my ears and invited me, saying, "Let's go look for earrings for you, Mom!"
"I want to buy some clothes too!"
My daughter, who hasn't driven much since getting her license, and me, who just graduated from being a "paper driver" (someone with a license but no experience).
Unfortunately, the weather looks bad tomorrow, and I've never driven in the rain, so I'm a little nervous, but I'm going to try my best to drive safely and enjoy our drive together.
Feeling my daughter's clear growth.
The proof of her kindness shining in the kitchen, and our fun plans for tomorrow.
Today, as a mother, I am savoring the greatest happiness.
Thank you so much, my daughter. I will take good care of the microwave, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
