Healed by the Sea and Breeze: 3 Days in Early Summer Okinawa
Day 1
Departed Haneda at 8:15, arrived in Naha at 10:55.
It was a pleasant, sunny day.
Immediately after arriving at Naha Airport, I met up with my mother who had come from Kansai Airport.
For lunch, we ate tacos at the food court in Parco City on the Urasoe West Coast.
I thought they were the best tacos I've ever had.
(Though I haven't eaten tacos that often)
After filling up, we headed to Neo Park Okinawa.
We rode the park bus mixed in with tour groups of middle-aged ladies. We saw capybaras and sheep up close.
The purple sweet potato gelato we ate at the park cafe was delicious.
After fully enjoying the park, we checked into "Grandy Style Okinawa Yomitan".
It was a sophisticated and comfortable space.
I could see the ocean from the room's window...! I was moved.
Every staff member was very kind, and it was a wonderful hotel that made me want to come back again.

Day 2
Today was also a pleasant, sunny day.
Just past 5:00, my mother woke me up saying, "The sunrise is beautiful."
We could see the sunrise clearly from our room.
Before breakfast, we soaked in the hotel pool.
The breeze was very comfortable.
After checking out of the hotel, we went to Cape Maeda and the Zakimi Castle Ruins. We had Okinawa soba for lunch.
After browsing Yachimun no Sato, we tried a pottery experience.
It was hot enough to make us sweat, but the occasional breeze felt good.
We checked into our hotel for the second night, and after dinner, we went for a walk on Zanpa Beach.
It was a very fulfilling day.

Day 3
Unfortunately, it was raining today.
My mother and I braced ourselves for the crowded breakfast venue, but it was surprisingly fine.
In the morning, we went to a glass workshop we had reserved.
We chose shapes and colors, and actually blew into the glass and shaped it. Making things is fun.
After the experience, we headed to the Okinawa Prefectural Museum & Art Museum.
On the way, we quickly searched on Google Maps and found "Takaesu Soba". It seemed to be a popular shop.
We were lucky and were able to get in after only a short wait.
The broth for the yushi tofu soba was very delicious.
At the Okinawa Prefectural Museum & Art Museum, we viewed the exhibits carefully, even while fighting off sleepiness.
The caramel cheesecake we ate at the cafe inside the building had a mature, not-too-sweet flavor and was delicious.
Since we had time before returning the rental car, we made a last-minute trip to "DMM Kariyushi Aquarium". The inside was more fulfilling than I imagined, and it was fun to look at the fish while getting excited with my mother.
We had our final dinner at the airport. At an Okinawan restaurant, we ate juicy (Okinawan seasoned rice), mozuku seaweed, pig ear strips, sea grapes, and sata andagi.
Departed Naha at 20:25, arrived at Haneda at 22:50.

It was such a fulfilling trip that I think it might be the best one I've ever had.
It was a good refreshment, and I had a great time.
