After the Rain | Anime

I got hooked on Kowloon Generic Romance, and since I have a habit of looking up other works by an author whenever I get into one of their creations, I searched for Jun Mayuzuki, the author of Kowloon Generic Romance.

Then I found out there was a manga called After the Rain, which had also been adapted into an anime and a movie, so I immediately started watching After the Rain on Netflix.

It's a completely different work from Kowloon Generic Romance, telling the story of a 17-year-old high school girl who falls in love with the 45-year-old manager of the family restaurant where she works part-time.

As a result, I ended up really liking this one too, and when I went to Book Off to look for Kowloon Generic Romance, I found it there, so I bought them together.

It has 10 volumes in total, but Book Off only had up to volume 7.

Volume 7 ended just as the manager realized that he also liked Tachibana, so I'm incredibly curious about what happens next and really want to read the remaining three books soon!!

I wonder if the final episode of the anime and the final volume of the original manga are the same?

In the anime, there wasn't really a scene where the manager realized he liked Tachibana.

I also like seeing the differences between anime and original works, so I really want to read the last three books soon.

Also, I simply love Jun Mayuzuki's art style.

I'm happy that I've found two new favorite works at once. There are just so many interesting works in this world that I don't know about yet. I love the moment I get hooked on something, so I hope I encounter more works I love. And since I also love taking the time to deeply understand the works I like while slowly and leisurely seeking out such encounters, I want to enjoy After the Rain and Kowloon Generic Romance slowly and thoroughly.
