The story of how I, who was told 'It's okay to stop breastfeeding,' ended up almost exclusively breastfeeding (Part 3)
A time came when she could latch onto the left side for 10 seconds,
a few days later she could latch onto the right side for 30 seconds,
a few days after that she could breastfeed directly from the right side three times a day,
and a few days after that she was breastfeeding directly from both sides... and so,
the time and frequency she could do it increased rapidly.
I haven't been able to update much, and my baby is now approaching her half-birthday.
Once she started breastfeeding directly,
the stimulation to my nipples became consistent,
and my breast milk supply increased rapidly, as if everything that happened before was a lie.
There were days when I rejoiced that I was exclusively breastfeeding, but
the hurdle of exclusive breastfeeding was high for me, so I am doing mixed feeding.
I supplement with formula a few times a day.
(I sometimes wonder if I'll produce a bit more if I ever have a second child...)
There are days when my milk supply is low due to lack of sleep or not having time to soak in the bathtub.
I adjust based on how my baby is doing that day.
I worried about many things after giving birth, but
in conclusion, the maternal body is amazing!
It took time after giving birth, but I was able to produce breast milk properly.
There were times when I was obsessed with breastfeeding in various ways, but
my child is growing up safely.
Isn't that enough!
I'm sure various new worries will arise as my child grows,
but I want to enjoy raising my child as I go along.
I'll say it again,
I hope this article serves as encouragement for someone.
Thank you for reading this far.
