I thought LINE Official Account work was about building systems. But the most important thing was shaping the brand.
I have posted on my profile that I accept commissions for creating LINE Official Accounts.
However, looking back, it wasn't that I wanted to do work creating LINE Official Accounts from the very beginning.
The trigger was truly a coincidence.
It happened one day when I visited a purchase shop for some business.
The conversation turned to our professions, and I mentioned that I create LINE Official Accounts.
Then,
Could you create a LINE Official Account for us too?
That is how they asked me.
Honestly, I was very surprised.
I didn't visit that day with the intention of accepting a commission.
Wow, things like this really happen.
I remember that feeling of bewilderment was greater.
At first, I thought it was a job about building systems.
After receiving the request, I first created an estimate and proceeded with the production in order.
Since a LINE Official Account was already being operated at a shop in the same chain, they shared it as a sample, and I was able to use the general structure as a reference.
So at first,
I just need to make it according to that flow.
That is how I was thinking.
But, as I was actually looking at it, there was one thing that bothered me.
I felt that the design of the rich menu was a bit disconnected from the shop's brand image.
Of course, it works perfectly well as a functional tool.
However,
I wondered, "Couldn't we shape this to better convey the unique character of this shop?"
Thinking that way, I decided to try designing it from scratch.
What I thought about most was "the unique character of this shop."
So, first, I confirmed the core brand image.
What kind of atmosphere do they value?
What kind of impression do they want people to have?
Based on that, I rethought the rich menu design from the ground up and made a proposal.
Thankfully,
"This is really great."
They were happy with it.
I remember feeling relieved when I heard those words.
There were things that couldn't be conveyed through systems alone.
Until now, I had mostly worked on projects brought in by sales representatives, so I had almost no experience being the primary point of contact.
With this request, I was able to experience the entire process myself, from receiving the consultation to proposing, creating, and delivering the final product.
In doing so, I had one major realization.
It is that LINE Official Account is not finished just by building a convenient system.
The moment the customer opens LINE,
"Oh, that's the shop I see in the commercials."
To be felt that way.
To achieve that, the design and the user flow both needed to be connected to the brand's worldview.
What I learned through LINE Official Accounts
Looking back, what I learned through LINE Official Accounts was not how to send messages.
It wasn't about building systems, either.
What was truly important was
"What does this company want to deliver?"
It was understanding that sentiment.
If you don't understand the brand, no matter how convenient a system you build, the uniqueness of the shop won't be conveyed.
Conversely, if you understand that sentiment, the design, the user flow, and the way of communicating will naturally fall into place.
Looking back, what I was building wasn't just a LINE Official Account.
Perhaps it was the work of giving shape to the value that the shop wants to deliver.
That is why, even now, before thinking about new systems,
"What does this company want to deliver?"
I make sure to start by thinking about that.
About the LINE Official Accounts I have actually produced
As I wrote in this article, for me, working on LINE Official Accounts is not just about creating systems for messaging or attracting customers.
"What is the uniqueness of this shop?"
"Will customers be able to tell at a glance that this is the brand?"
I design and produce each one while thinking about things like that.
Since there are official LINE accounts that I am currently managing, if you are interested in the philosophy behind how I create them, please take a look.

In this note, I observe my own insights and hypotheses triggered by daily events.
Rather than providing the correct answer, I would be happy if I could provide an opportunity for you to think, 'What would I do in this situation?'
Whether you agree or have a completely different perspective, that is fine.
I would be happy if we could think about it together in the comments.
I also accept work related to AI utilization, writing, and SNS management.
