My annual April Fool's joke is usually just sharing a small bit of news at work like, 'I, I, I'm so in love with my wife...💗'.
Because I work in sales, where credibility and trust are my selling points, I can't really tell lies, even on April Fool's Day.
I think lies that brighten up the world or make people feel warm and fuzzy on April Fool's Day are fine. However, lies that hurt your conscience or lead to regret are not good.
In that case, why not talk about a big dream that might end up being a lie on April Fool's Day? (The advantage is that you have an insurance policy even if it doesn't come true...)

Become independent as a freelancer when I reach the mandatory retirement age of 55✨
The form of freelancing varies and I don't have a clear picture of it yet, but I have declared my big dream here.
An even bigger dream✨
My son was home for spring break, so we held a family meeting about his future dreams. Since he will be a fourth-year university student in the new academic year, he has started preparing for graduate school entrance exams. My son taking the TOEIC test was also part of that preparation. (I wrote an article about his TOEIC score before.)
The field my son wants to research seems to be one where Japan is at the cutting edge, so the possibility of him becoming an overseas researcher has decreased for now. It seems my wife's plan to emigrate overseas, 'I want to learn English and follow my son,' will be changed. (I'm relieved...)
White Panda: Hey, you should learn Korean!
Kuromameshiba: Yeah!
White Panda: You should go on a trip to Korea with Kojiro!

I'm not sure what my wife and son talked about during spring break, but it seems we need to learn Korean. By the way, I can read Hangul and am at a level where I can manage basic greetings.
