My favorite boy's manga 'Plawres Sanshiro' (New book size, 14 volumes in total) Original story: Jiro Gyu / Manga: Minoru Kamiya

To start off, I love the 'manga version' but when I first watched the 'TV anime' at a friend's house with high expectations, I felt it was 'creepy (disgusting)', and I haven't watched the 'anime' version even once since then. I did quite like the opening theme song (or rather, it stuck in my head). So, I have no information about the anime.

I don't understand the technical side at all, and it seems difficult to realize even today, but it is a manga with a premise where you remotely control plastic models (referred to as microcomputers at the time?) built inside to fight like pro-wrestling on a dedicated ring.

As for movies, although I haven't seen it, 'Real Steel' (2011/USA) might be close?

I didn't subscribe to the magazine 'Weekly Shonen Champion' where it was serialized, but I feel like I read the first chapter somewhere. I don't remember what triggered it, but I started collecting the collected volumes. The story was good, but I loved the beautiful art.

The villains 'Mad Hurricane' and 'Huracan', and the ally? 'Rikio'. The protagonist 'Juo Maru' keeps looking cooler and cooler.

As for the story, it remained unfinished and ended that way, which is a bit of a shame, but it is thoroughly entertaining. The most exciting scene was the
street fight between New Mad Hurricane and Huracan.
