Thoughts on a Certain Day

A certain day.
Helping out a neighbor from early in the morning.
I helped with cutting down some trees.
Well, I just lent them a small electric saw—not even close to what you'd call a chainsaw—and helped put the cut branches into trash bags.
It was only about an hour, but it was nice to get a glimpse of the different sides of the participants: the neighbor, her mother, and her husband.

At times like that, through a sudden expression or a remark, you can perceive various aspects of a person. It's nice to be able to see them in three dimensions, rather than just the side you always interact with. It's useful for observing human nature.
