A proposal for Sakura Color Products Corp!
Starting June 20th, Sakura Color Products Corp has collaborated with Shuri Castle to release a Shuri Castle version of Coupy pencils, available at the Shuri Castle Park gift shop.
I want them.
I can't exactly do something as eccentric as flying all the way to Okinawa just to buy Coupy pencils.
However!
I have a friend in Naha.
Her house is right next to Shuri Castle, and Shuri Castle is her dog's walking route.
I immediately asked her to buy two for me, and she bought them right away and sent them via Yu-Pack.
With Yu-Pack, it only costs 470 yen to ship from Okinawa.
Thank you, Japan Post!
I opened them right away.

Wonderful naming.
I've been to Shuri Castle three times: before the fire, right after the fire, and last year while it was under reconstruction, so I felt a bit happy knowing I've seen both the Heisei-era vermilion and the Reiwa-era vermilion.
"Gold Lion Color" is just too cool.
These are truly colored pencils for drawing Shuri Castle.
With these, even the lost Shuri Castle can be brought back to life.
I'm sure there are people who would definitely collect these if there were other versions of this Coupy set.
How about selling a coloring book as a bundle?
Wouldn't places like Nikko Toshogu Shrine or Tokyo Station be good too?
For Himeji Castle, something like "plaster color dyed by the sunset" would be lovely!
For Kinkaku-ji, how about "roof color reflected on the water" or "early summer maple color"?
Just thinking about it makes me so excited.
Maybe I should pitch this to Sakura Cray-Pas!
