How to Use 'Comments' to Deepen Bonds with Followers | Your Words Become the Strength That Supports Your Followers and Your note Activities
◆ Comments are gifts that reach the hearts of your followers
Everyone who uses note has surely thought this at least once.
“I get likes, but I never get any comments…”
“I wish someone would say something on my articles…”
Yes, on note, a “comment” is the highest hurdle, and that is precisely why it is the “gift that resonates with the heart.”
◆ Likes < Follows < The weight of comments
There are several types of reactions you can make on note.
“Likes” are the easiest reaction, done with a single tap.
“Follows” are a declaration of intent when you have a little bit of interest.
And “comments” are clear proof of “love” and “respect.”
This is because you cannot write a comment without reading the article thoroughly.
It is something the reader writes by taking the time and effort to weave words together and pour their own feelings into them.
The moment a note creator receives a comment, they undoubtedly think this:
“This person really read my writing.”
“They really engaged with me.”
“I’m so glad I wrote this…”
In fact, I very often receive feedback from followers I have commented on saying, “This is the first time I’ve received a comment. I’m so happy.”
◆ The spirit of GIVE fosters “trust” and “bonds”
“I want comments from people.”
If so, then start by giving comments yourself.
This is also a psychological principle known as the law of reciprocity.
Humans are creatures who want to return the favor when they receive something.
When you comment, the other person also becomes interested in your articles, visits them, and reads them.
And sometimes, they will give you a 'like' or follow you.
In this way, trust and bonds deepen, and a 'connection' of the heart is born.
◆ The comment section is a sacred place for nurturing 'bonds'
note is not just a publishing tool.
It is a warm platform where people connect heart-to-heart.
The act of writing a comment cannot be done without reading the other person's article thoroughly.
You cannot write one by just skimming through it.
That is precisely why, in order to comment, you naturally end up 'reading carefully' the other person's article.
As a result, you become able to feel their way of thinking, values, and personality firsthand.
'This person has lived such an intense life until now...'
'This person has values very similar to mine...'
'Oh, this person has the same hobbies as me!'
In this way, by touching their life and worldview through their articles, you may feel empathy or be inspired...
Before you know it, an 'attachment' to that person is born within you.
And the person who was just a 'follower' until now becomes a 'precious companion,' and the 'bond' deepens further and further.
◆ Miyamoto's commenting habits
In managing my own note, I am conscious of the following commenting habits.
Write a thank-you comment to each person who follows you
Always reply to comments left on your own articles
Don't hesitate to actively comment on articles that move you
Honestly, when I first started my note account, I didn't have the time or mental energy to leave comments myself.
I only started actively leaving comments about a month after I opened my account.
And since I started writing comments, I have felt that the 'followers' who were once just numbers have grown into a 'relationship where we can support each other'.
Through this experience, I have become convinced that what is truly important on note is not the 'number' of followers, but the 'bonds' with your followers.
◆ Don't say 'I don't have time,' say 'I will make time'
'I don't have time to comment...'
Some might say that.
But is that really true?
Games, TV, social media...
You should be able to turn the 'five minutes' you spend unconsciously on those things into a single comment.
Just five minutes a day
Just one line of words
That can warm someone's heart and enrich your note life.
◆ Engaging with followers' articles helps you grow too
Through writing activities on note, 'comments' are an act of lighting a fire in someone's heart, and at the same time, they are a light that illuminates yourself as well.
In particular, engaging with your followers' articles is the best opportunity to polish your own inner sensibilities.
By encountering the life philosophies and worldviews of others, your own stock of knowledge, wisdom, and vocabulary continues to accumulate, adding depth and substance to who you are as a person.
It is like the sensation of stories layered upon stories quietly soaking into the vessel that is you.
In other words, by reading various followers' articles and encountering their life stories, you can grow yourself as well.
◆ People are only polished by other people
Just as a diamond can only be polished by another diamond, ultimately, people are only polished by other people.
note is a place where people can polish one another.
That is precisely why your single comment not only makes the other person shine but also polishes your own heart.
You who offer kind words will surely become a kind person.
You who support someone will surely be supported by someone.
A heartfelt comment will, in time, become a light that illuminates your future.
Comments are a special form of communication, different from 'likes' or 'follows'.
Today, when you read someone's article...
Please try to deliver your thoughts or impressions in the form of a 'comment,' even if it is just a short line or a single word.
That one word from you might just turn the other person's day into one they can spend with a warm and happy feeling.
