At the Shrine at Night [Book Review] [No Spoilers]
I have finished reading Hoshigarasu-san's "At the Shrine at Night" 🌃⛩
I would like to write a book review for it this time.

At first, I thought the story would focus mainly on the cat and its owner, but it was more than that.
It was a heartwarming story about the local people centered around the shrine and the animals that live there ( ˘ω˘ )
Since it is an omnibus-style novel, it is a collection of stories written from the perspective of a different protagonist in each chapter.
It feels like an assortment of sweets where you can enjoy many different flavors ✨️
Although the protagonist changes with each chapter, the characters that appear are common to all, and the stories are interrelated, so you can enjoy it as a long story despite it being a collection of short stories.
It is a story about mysterious events involving gods, people, and animals, but beyond that, the content of the novel had an intellectual depth that was interesting!
Roughly speaking, it is about the relationships between animals and people, relationships between people, and stories about Shinto rituals.
Hoshigarasu-san mentioned that they like visiting shrines and temples, and that really comes through in the novel. Above all, Hoshigarasu-san's kindness is packed into the story (*´ω`*)
I also love the final story about the god (side story), which is a wonderful, heartwarming tale ( ˘ω˘ )✨️
And, more detailed impressions (impressions that will make you want to read this novel even more) are posted here, so if you are okay with spoilers or are interested, please check it out!
