The Eccentric Ceremony #WeeklyShortShortNote
Here in Taraha City, there was a unique event proposed by the mayor, who was once a shut-in. One of these was a ceremony for young people reaching adulthood called the "Eccentric Ceremony."
The Eccentric Ceremony begins with each participant giving a speech reflecting on their life so far.
"I spent all three years of junior high without speaking to anyone. Some of my classmates are hearing my voice for the first time, aren't they?"
"My father is from Jamaica and I have dreadlocks. I was called a foreigner."
"I once showed up to school with blonde hair and got called into the office."
The mayor, who took the stage last, suddenly grabbed his hair and threw it away. A magnificent bald head was revealed.
"To celebrate your adulthood, I decided to go bald. What is important is that you decide your own life. Never let go of your 'right to self-determination.' Life is a series of changes. Everyone changes. Being an eccentric is fine!"
The event ended with a grand chorus by the participants and the mayor. Before long, the venue became one, and the chorus continued as if it would never end.
