Disposable diaper costs are about 70,000 yen
"You'll use a lot of diapers once your baby is born."
It's something you hear often, but just how much is "a lot"?
・Result: 50 packs (up to 1.5 years old)
The breakdown is as follows:
Newborn size: 3 packs
Size S: 13 packs
Size M: 31 packs (using both tape and pants types)
Size L: 3 packs
In our home, we use the Goo.n brand of diapers.
And on Goo.n diaper packs, there is a "Goo.n mark," which is like a Bellmark.
We were collecting these marks, so we counted how many packs we used based on them, and the result was a surprising 50 packs!
Since they are sold for around 1,400 yen per pack,
if you calculate it...
1,400 x 50 = 70,000
70,000 yen!
What's more, when I looked into it, I found that due to price hikes, the number of diapers per pack has decreased since we were buying them... That's just not fair...
We make it a point to buy in bulk by targeting Amazon sales, home centers, and Nishimatsuya sales.
However, it's tricky because you never know when they'll outgrow a size!
For those who are about to have a baby, I hope this serves as a reference for just how many diapers you might need.
By the way, my child grew right along the middle of the growth curve.
Since every child is different in terms of sizing, please just use this as a rough guide.
