When I wrote this note in 2021 📝
I had quit being a marriage counselor,
and I wanted to create not a place to work hard at finding a partner,
but a place for solo individuals without marriage hunting
to belong.
A place where marriage is not the goal,
and where you can live happily
even if you are single forever 🏡
In that space, if you happened to
meet someone naturally,
that would be a wonderful thing

With that thought in mind,
the concept of a "Solo Town"
was born 🏡
A few years have passed since then.
I didn't want to let it end
as just a passing idea,
so I have been searching for land and buildings
the whole time 🚶
And now—
I have finally
found a place
that I think might be it 🏡
About 2 hours from Tokyo 🚌
It is a quiet place
surrounded by nature,
near a hot spring area 🚎🌳
The building is a former inn 🏢🌳
That sounds nice,
but it is actually
quite dilapidated...
There are places where the ceiling has fallen,
it leaks when it rains ☔||💧,
and there are repairs needed everywhere 😂
Every day brings the unexpected,
and there are times when I wonder,
"Will this ever be finished?" ݁ ˖꩜
But every time I enter the building,
a wonderful scene
comes to mind 📖✨️.⋆✧₊⁺
Someone drinking coffee
while looking at the greenery
from the cafe window ☕️🌳🌳🌳
Someone reading a book in the lounge 🛋️
and dozing off on the sofa 🥱💤
A space where people enjoy being alone
and spend their time
however they like 🪑🛋️🌿🏡🌳📖
You don't have to force yourself to talk to anyone
But, if you feel like talking,
a place where quiet conversations can emerge📖🪑

place with "just the right distance"
to be ִ ˳ ◌ ﾟ･
I once wrote,
"If there were cafes, gyms, and classes exclusively for singles,
marriage hunting might
become unnecessary"

But, what I really wanted to create
might not be for singles after all
Regardless of whether you are married or not,
for those who value their alone time🏡,
without having to conform to anyone,
wanting to connect loosely˚⋆ ♪ ‧ ˚
people looking for a place
where they can spend time alone with peace of mind ⋆.˚୨୧⋆.˚₊
A place for all you solo individuals✨️
So, there is no need to compete with anyone
or force yourself to socialize☆*.゜
There is also no need
to try hard to make yourself look good✧˚.
Come as you are
Rest when you are tired🛌✧˚
Drink some coffee☕🥐
Read a book📖* . ⋆ ̟ .
Zone out🏡🌳🌳🌳
"I'm glad I came today..."
I want to make this a place where you can feel cozy and relaxed when you leave.

in a total panic
every time it rains, but🏃💦
including that process,
I plan to record the story of
how a place for solo travelers
is born.📝
Days when the ceiling falls in😖💦,
days when we're running around in a frenzy,
days when we fail at assembling the hearth😂,
and days when we can all work together,
I'll include it all🎥
