July 8th.
A date in the past when an unidentified flying object is said to have crashed.
This year, it is a date that suggests some kind of “disclosure” of information.
And a few days later, a work themed around "disclosure" will be released.
Is it disclosure? Or just an awakening?
And July 8th is the deadline for the 2026 Creative Awards.
May 8th.
While I was idly talking about July, I saw news that the US government had begun releasing classified documents on UFOs—no, what are now called "UAPs".
The Department of Defense.
NASA.
The FBI.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Names that in the past would only have appeared together in movies are now seriously publishing records about "unexplained phenomena."
I thought, the times have changed.
──Of course, at this point, it is not a story that "aliens have been confirmed."
What is being released are military footage, pilot testimonies, past reports, and records from the Apollo era.
All that is there is the fact that "something unexplainable exists."
──But what I found a little interesting was not so much the content, but the "change in humanity's attitude."
In the past, talk of UFOs was somehow outside the boundary.

"People who believe" and "people who don't believe."
I feel like it was a binary choice☺️
But now, the world has begun to move to a slightly different place.
It is entering a phase not of "whether it is an alien or not," but of
“how society handles unexplained phenomena.”
That looked a bit like the maturation of humanity.
An attitude of "observing without understanding" rather than immediately laughing off or blindly believing in things that are not understood.
──Come to think of it, humanity in the past has given names to things it could not understand.
Gods.
Yokai.
Spirits.
Tengu.
Ghosts.
And in the modern age, we have given it a somewhat inorganic name: "UAP."
But in reality, perhaps the name has just changed, and what we are doing is not much different from the past.
We are trying to give a contour to an entity we cannot understand using words we can understand.
In the process of evolution, life acquired primitive membranes and cell walls, and began to distinguish between "inside" and "outside."
It began to draw boundaries in a world that was once ambiguous.
Perhaps humanity has been trying to understand even formless, vague existences ever since by giving them our own "cell membranes."
Thinking about it, the term "unidentified flying object" itself is somewhat human-like.
We know it is flying. But we don't know what it is.
So, we give it a name for now while leaving the margin of "unidentified."
I think humanity is a creature that has struggled more with
“what to call the unknown”
than with the unknown itself.
That is why this UAP disclosure feels more like a story about "how humanity faces things it doesn't understand" than a story about aliens.
And I thought for a moment.
If a truly completely incomprehensible entity were to appear, humanity would first try to give it a "name."……What are you talking about🛸👽
