Coaching the right person (4-quadrant diagram; Empowerment Matrix)
➡️ The very idea of identifying the zone of people who should be coached was fresh (until now, I vaguely thought that everyone could be coached unless it was in the counseling domain)
➡️ Furthermore, the distinction between coaching, teaching, and delegation became clear
GROW Coaching Model (Original)
➡️ The positioning of the four skills (G.R.O.W) was clear, and I was able to understand the process
➡️ Furthermore, I was surprised and convinced that the coach's own mentality (the way of being in coaching) for mastering these skills was woven into the central triangle of the GROW model
Lectures and Practice
➡️ The GROW question template can be used as is, making it perfect for solidifying the 'Shu' (adhering to the basics) of the Shu-Ha-Ri concept
➡️ It was also good that the example questions for each part of G.R.O.W were intentionally unified with the same content. It allowed for a concrete simulation of a mock experience where the coach accompanies the client through the GROW process to draw out actions based on questions the client recognizes as challenges, which greatly deepened my understanding
