What are you talking about? Paradigm Shift (Part 124) "Tsukurundesu®" Miniature House No. 4 🏡

The fourth one is,
"Fukuro-cho" (Bag Town).

Passing through the gate with that name written on it,

a narrow alley.
A red bridge.
Paper lanterns.
A ramen shop.
Cherry blossoms.

Extending further and further into the back,
a small town spread out.

At first,
I was just looking at the miniature.

But then I realized.

This isn't something you just look at,
it's something you "enter."

Strangely enough,
the entrance is small.

But,
the depth is endless.

In reality,
it's a distance you could walk across in a few steps,

but it feels like this town
goes on forever.

Come to think of it,
books are the same.

A single book
is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand,

but once you start reading,
you can travel back hundreds of years.

You can also travel to a future you have yet to see.

You can go to space,
or even to the deep sea.

The pages are thin.

But,
the world is deep.

That is why the words
STORIES IN BOOKS

lined up on both sides,
felt strangely fitting.

Inside a book,
there is a story.

And,

inside the story,
there is a town.

In the back alleys of that town,
someone is walking.
They are just invisible.

Suddenly,
I gaze at the name
"Fukuro-cho" (Bag Town).

Bag Town.

A "bag" is something
to put things in.

Perhaps,
this town itself
might be a bag
for holding stories.

People
store memories.
They store words.
They store emotions.

And,

sometimes they open that bag,
and walk through it
once more.

A real town
ends when you walk through it.

But,

a town of memories
has no end.

Every time you turn a corner,
a new landscape appears.

Even when you close a book,
the story
continues to walk somewhere in your heart.

This little "Fukuro-cho" too,
might not be a model,
but an entrance
leading to someone's memories.
