The Movie "Blue Period" - The Strength to Reveal Yourself, the Strength to Know What You Want, and the Strength to Commit

I went to see #BluePeriod.
It has been a long time since I cried my eyes out watching a movie.

Based on the manga by Tsubasa Yamaguchi, the story follows Yatora, a second-year high school student who discovers a passion for painting and decides to aim for admission to the Tokyo University of the Arts oil painting program on his first attempt.

Yatora, who is academically gifted and socially adept, had been living life smoothly until he encountered art, but after painting a piece for an elective art class, he felt like he had "properly conversed with someone for the first time in his life."

Through encounters with art club members and teachers, and aided by his circumstances regarding career choices, he finds himself suddenly plunged into a life of painting intensely with the sole goal of getting into art school.

People are moved by the strength to reveal oneself, the strength to know what one wants to do, and the strength to make a firm decision.
Watching Yatora grasp the essence of life every time he paints was beautiful.

And it made me think that perhaps the correct answer to raising a child is simply to hope that they can encounter something they love.
The same applies if you shift your perspective to raising yourself.

In an era where we are often bewildered by information overload and the speed of life, this was a refreshing work that reminded me that the essence of things is simple. Highly recommended.
