April 2, 2025 Walking School: Walking in Metropolitan Parks - Metropolitan Sakuragaoka Park (approx. 6.5km)

Date and Time: April 2 (Wed) 10:00
Meeting Place: In front of the ticket gates of Keio Nagayama Station (Keio Line) and Odakyu Nagayama Station (Odakyu Line), which are adjacent to each other

What to bring: In addition to water, please bring light refreshments if necessary.
There are no shops inside the park.
Participation fee: 1000 yen (insurance, etc.)

After-party: (Optional): Scheduled to be held around 14:00 at "Gyoza no Manshu" in Seiseki-Sakuragaoka
Excerpt from park guide: "The area around Sakuragaoka Park was known as a famous spot for cherry blossoms in the Edo period. There are about 400 cherry trees in the park, including wild cherry and Somei Yoshino, which bloom in full glory in early spring."
Course:
Take the 10:07 bus from Nagayama Station -> Arrive at Seigaoka 2-chome bus stop at 10:11
Choosing mountain paths as much as possible, this is a single-stroke course different from theitineraryof June 2024.
We will extend our walk to the Ono no Komachi poem monument outside the park
Oyaido Park (10:15) -> Shobu Pond -> Tonbo Square -> Red Fruit Path -> Uguisu Path
-> Donguri Path -> Azami Path -> Hagi Path -> Pass by the campsite -> Sugi no Tsuji (bird watching spot)
-> In front of the Park Service Center (park map available, etc.) -> Fujimi no Oka -> Rest area with a view of Mt. Fuji
-> Emperor Meiji Nodatesho Site -> Renkoji Park -> Yato no Oka -> Omoide no Path
-> Rest at Oka no Ue Square (aiming to arrive at 12:10)
-> Former Tama Seiseki Memorial Hall (closed on Wednesdays) / Goken-do -> Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken poem monument
-> Asobi no Hiroba -> Wooden path -> Yuuhi no Oka -> Oyaido River Green Space -> Shimizu-dani Green Space
-> Taiousou Park -> Ono no Komachi poem monument
-> Taiousou-mae bus stop (aiming for the 13:44 bus) -> Seiseki-Sakuragaoka Station (aiming to arrive before 14:00)
