8/50 I tried making lemonade
Be kind to others today, and be kind to yourself too.
When I write, I usually listen to music, but lately I've been playing this playlist. It's full of pleasant music.

Well then, I tried a challenge today too!
Today, it was making lemonade
Before I was pregnant, I was strictly a coffee lover.
When I was tired from work, I would often take a break by brewing a cup of coffee. My mind and body would feel rushed and my breathing shallow, but drinking coffee made me feel like I could take a deep breath and relax.
I still love coffee, but I don't crave it as much as I used to. Instead, I find myself wanting to gulp down water, soda-based drinks, or things that seem gentle on the body like fruit-based drinks or milk.
Among them, lemonade is refreshing and easy to drink, so I love it.
There is a lemonade shop in the shopping center I sometimes visit, and it's one of my little joys to order a lemonade and drink it on my way home when I'm tired from walking.
So, I thought I'd try making it myself.

Here is the recipe I used for reference.
It was very easy to understand and I highly recommend it♪
What I prepared was:
Lemons (non-fungicide treated) x 2
Rock sugar 500g
Baking soda (food grade)
Glass jar for storage
I found a perfect glass jar for storage at 3COINS and used that.
I procured the other items at the supermarket.

I used this baking soda.
Even though I bought lemons without fungicides, there might still be chemicals on the skin, so I scrubbed them thoroughly with baking soda and rinsed them off.
After that, I sliced them thinly, layered the rock sugar and lemons alternately, and stored them in a cool, dark place for 2 to 3 days.

In the end, the rock sugar hadn't completely dissolved after 3 days, but I was worried, so I moved it to the refrigerator for storage.
And now, time to taste it!
I added about two spoonfuls of syrup... (just guessing)
Poured in some sugar-free soda...

I was half-doubting whether it would be good, but...
“ ! ! ! ”
“So delicious!”
This is great! Since I'm pregnant, I think I should be careful about consuming too much sugar, so I want to limit myself to about one glass a day, but it's refreshing, crisp, and delicious!
For a tired body, it feels like coming back to life.
Lately, I've been continuing to "try making everything myself" and "try doing things," and I feel like I've been able to value "savoring" things more because of that.“savoring”things more because of that.
The lemonade I made myself is deeply flavorful because of the time and effort I put into it.
It was also fun to watch the process of the syrup gradually being made.
If I have the chance to host family or friends, I'd love for them to try it too.
Thank you for reading again today.
May you have a peaceful moment this afternoon♪
