16/50 Stopped making udon... and tried making focaccia instead
32 weeks pregnant.
For about the last three days, I've been incredibly sleepy.
As soon as I eat a meal, I'm overcome with sleepiness.
I take a second nap in the morning, a nap in the afternoon, and sleep a little more in the evening, and in the end, I can't sleep much at night...
That's what the last three days have felt like.
It takes me longer than before to move my body, and I've started getting tired easily.
When my head feels foggy from sleepiness, I don't feel like doing anything, and I can only manage to lie down because I'm tired,
and sometimes I suddenly think,
"Is it okay for me to be like this?" but...
While forgiving myself for being this way.
While telling myself that it's okay.
I want to cherish each moment as I live through it.
I tried it this time too!
"Making udon"stopped... and
"tried making focaccia"
Up until now, I've used bread flour to make all sorts of things.
Bagels

Pizza

Naan

Every single one of them was delicious!
In particular, the naan and curry set was highly praised by my husband, who said "I want to eat this again" many times. Making the curry butter-chicken style went really well with the naan.

I was supposed to use the remaining bread flour to make udon this time, but when I went to Saizeriya for the first time in a while and looked through the menu to see what they had, my eyes caught the focaccia.
Even though I thought it looked delicious, I had already decided to eat the"Milan-style Doria"and, thinking of my health, I ordered the"Chicken Caesar Salad"instead.
But even after I got home, the "focaccia" wouldn't leave my mind.
If I can make pizza, I should be able to make focaccia with bread flour too...
When I looked it up right away, I found out it was easy to make.
Udon is good, but this time it's going to be"focaccia"!!
I suddenly changed my mind and decided to make "focaccia".
I used this recipe as a reference.
It is very easy to understand and simple to make♪
I had 300 grams of bread flour left over, so I decided to make a triple batch, enough for 6 people.
Instead, I thought of 4 varieties to make it more interesting.
○ Basic (with herb salt)
○ Corn
○ Bacon & Onion (with herb salt)
○ Cheese
This is the third time I've used the oven.
I finally understood how to set the preheat and was able to adjust it smoothly.
Here is what I made!

Also, I made consommé soup!
My husband's mother came over, and the three of us gobbled it up.
My favorites were probably the basic one and the one with cheese.
The basic one had a nice kick from the herb salt, a flavor I never get tired of.
The cheese one was delicious, as expected! But I regret not putting even more cheese in it.
That said, they were all super delicious.
I'm glad my husband and his mother enjoyed them, and both my stomach and heart are completely satisfied♡

Enjoying things by myself is, of course, a joy.
But I realized that when everyone is gobbling up homemade focaccia together, the happiness becomes even greater.
It's a small thing, but
I'm happy I was able to host.
Dishes I can serve to guests.
I thought I'd like to increase the number of those.
Thank you for reading again today.
When you challenge yourself with something new you've never done before, I feel like your horizons expand a little more♪
