What is my happy time? ~Participating in a chat session~
A chat session that I have participated in several times before.
The theme this time was "Happy Time".
What is happiness?
I thought about it again, and I participated because I wanted to know about other people's happy times.
Many people participated this time as well,
and each of them spoke passionately about their feelings.
(Perhaps because they were radiating a happy aura, their faces were shining brightly while they spoke✨)
Ah, I often thought, 'Yes, that's exactly it!'
and content that made me think, 'I strongly agree!' also came up.
Happy time is different for everyone.
Everyone is different, and everyone is good.
Since I have the chance, I will write about the times when I feel my own happy time.
1. Being healthy in both mind and body
I only realized this after I lost it.
Waking up in the morning, eating, going to work by train... shopping, and going out on days off.
I couldn't do the 'daily life' that I used to take for granted.
I was forced to take a 130-day leave of absence due to adjustment disorder.
Work was the main reason, but there were many other factors, and I was pushing myself quite hard and wearing myself out.
It was truly a case of 'dust makes a mountain'... I could feel myself being gradually eroded.
I couldn't sleep (it was shallow).
Loss of appetite.
I would feel unwell when riding the train (panic attacks).
I was afraid to go out.
My feelings were constantly down (depressive state).
I often thought I was worthless and had suicidal ideation.
Since having that experience,
especially,
I feel that food tastes delicious and I can sleep soundly.
I think this is truly a happy time.
Recently, I feel grateful for everything, and I can think that I am happy.
2. Connection with people
Since I started living alone a few years ago, I missed people terribly.
Since I go out for work, I still have social connections.
Even so, I want to be more connected with someone.
I probably still have that feeling,
and I recently learned that it is a natural instinct for living with people.
However, in my case, the way I connected went a bit off in the wrong direction, and in the end, it only deepened my loneliness.
I also tried to get married for a while, but I realized that I probably just wanted the visible connection and title of marriage, and didn't really want to get married.
(I don't know about the future, though.)
Taking that lesson to heart, I am having loose connections on this note.
That is why I am very happy to have a place where I can talk in person from time to time.
That said, I don't want to be connected all the time,
so balance is important.
3. My own time
After all, I love my alone time.
Writing notes like this, reading books, or relaxing at a cafe.
The time I spend immersed in something is undoubtedly happy.
It was also in the three laws of happiness in this book.
For me, it is health, (social, family and friends) connections,
for now, if I have these two things, I can be happy.
Thank you for another wonderful event.🥰
To everyone who spoke, I would be happy if our paths cross again somewhere.
