Poem | Lights and Fangs
On a certain night in December, on the way home to sober up
While gazing at the lights illuminating the city
I quietly wish for someone's happiness and close my eyes
When I slowly open my eyelids
Countless voices saying "do your best"
Felt like they were faintly echoing in the distance
And strangely, my steps become lighter
There is nothing to be afraid of
For the future that rushes in on its own
I am already prepared to bite back head-on
[Afterword]
I participated in this.
Christmas, illuminations, year-end parties, and preparations for welcoming the New Year...
I thought about putting all the ingredients that could be December themes into one
and writing a cozy, warm piece,
but instead of "welcoming" the New Year, it was as if I were saying "bring it on,"
and it changed into a slightly more passionate theme of confronting the coming New Year (future). Haha
Before I knew it, there is only a little bit of this year left.
For me personally, this year was so dizzying, difficult, but also fun.
Next month, and next year
I have many challenges in my personal life and things outside of writing, so I will prepare myself to bare my fangs at the future properly ^^
