🌏My second son taking on a challenge in Australia. And the day I, at 66, also took a new step forward🍀

Today is the third day of my second son's training at Griffith International in Australia.

In the morning, he sent me some photos.

The first one seems to be the view in front of his host family's house. He says he takes the bus to university at 7:00 every morning. ⤵️

Looking into the second photo, it seems to be the scenery around Southport on the Gold Coast, Australia. ⤵️

My son doesn't say much, but from each photo he sends, I can tell he is challenging himself with new things in a foreign land. As a parent, I find his growth very encouraging. 🍀

I went to Hello Work and submitted my application for the Education and Training Benefit.

This is an application for reimbursement of the tuition fee (about 40,000 yen) for the Care Worker Initial Training course at Nichii Gakkan.

The procedure was completed successfully, and my out-of-pocket tuition cost has effectively become zero.

I am very grateful that I was able to take on the challenge of a new qualification at 66 and see it through to the end, and that my efforts have borne fruit.

Now that the training is over, I feel a bit of a void in my heart.

However, rather than just wallowing in sentimentality, I want to keep a flexible mindset, look forward, and continue to grow.

To that end, I will continue to take things one step at a time, cherishing my daily meditation, music that touches my heart, and time spent experiencing the kindness of others.

My second son is challenging himself in a new world in Australia.

And I, too, am challenging myself with a new life starting at 66.

Regardless of age, if you have the courage to take a step forward, you can always grow.

It was a day that made me feel that once again. 🍀
