The investigative public radio show and podcast Reveal was twice-awarded by the 2025 Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Awards for audio journalism in the public interest, the awards announced.

Reveal’s two 2025 duPont-Columbia Award wins are for the episode “We Regret to Inform You” regarding law enforcement practices in California as well as the multi-part series “40 Acres and a Lie,” an investigation into a federal government land program after the U.S. Civil War.

“These stories demonstrate the power that comes when news organizations collaborate on ambitious reporting projects,” said Brett Myers, Reveal’s interim executive producer. “Great reporting redefines how people see the world, and these stories are a testament to that.“

“40 Acres and a Lie” reporters and producers include Alexia Fernández Campbell, April Simpson, Pratheek Rebala, Nadia Hamdan, Roy Hurst, and Steven Rascón; editors Cynthia Rodriguez and Jennifer LaFleur; composers and sound designers Jim Briggs and Fernando Arruda; and interim executive producers Brett Myers and Taki Telonidis. A collaboration with the Center for Public Integrity and Mother Jones, the series was distributed to public radio and podcast listeners everywhere by PRX.
