PRX to Distribute the “The Sam Sanders Show” Public Radio Program from KCRW and Host Sam Sanders
The weekly pop culture show is now available to public radio stations nationwide
Public media organization PRX today announced a new distribution partnership with KCRW’s The Sam Sanders Show hosted by acclaimed culture critic and journalist Sam Sanders. PRX will now serve as the weekly pop culture show’s national public radio distributor, representing the program in the public radio marketplace.
The Sam Sanders Show debuted in October 2024, airing on KCRW’s airwaves in Los Angeles, California. The program is a co-production of KCRW and Sam Sanders Productions, LLC and is now available to stations across the United States.

We’ve been cooking up something really fun here in L.A., pushing the boundaries of how radio can sound and feel,” said host Sam Sanders. “Sharing what we’re making with other stations is an exciting next step in our growth, and I’m honored to partner with PRX to make it all happen.”
The Sam Sanders Show is about what listeners everywhere obsess over — TV, movies, music, Internet culture, and the people who make it all — and features entertainingly illuminating discussions with special guests. Episodes have included actress Jessica Williams on learning life lessons, recent Saturday Night Live cast member Sasheer Zamata on the role identity plays in the Marvel cinematic universe, Roy Wood, Jr. of The Daily Show on comedy and journalism, and Golden Globe Award-winner Rachel Bloom on the process of confronting grief.

PRX continues to expand possibilities for public media through distributing prominent programming, ranging from This American Life to Milk Street Radio.
