How to Customize Your ‘About’ Page
Medium’s new feature helps you elevate your brand and grow your audience
As a Medium writer, your About page is a place to introduce yourself and to contextualize your writing for your readers — especially new ones who are looking for reasons to click “follow.” It’s always allowed for more information than the short bio that appears under your profile image throughout the site. Now you can go even more in depth on this page.
It’s easy to personalize your page with images, text styling, and more, in order to paint a more vivid portrait of yourself than can fit in a tiny three-line bio. Your customized About page can also let your readers know what to expect in terms of your voice and writing style.
Here are some examples of how creators have customized their About pages (and you can, too):
Tell your readers what to expect

Include images.
Add an image of yourself, of your pets, of your passions, or anything else that helps better illustrate who you are and what you write about.
Organize your projects
The About page can also be a handy way to organize your different projects or brands on Medium. Direct readers to your Lists or publications, or highlight specific stories in topics you want to showcase.
Experiment with bullet points or other formats
