电源转换专业名词

今天看mc13892电源芯片手册，里面有buck swicher,boost switcher,不明白其中的意思，特意Good了一下，对其有了一些解。

几种专业名词定义：

1.DC to DC

A process that changes one DC voltage to a different DC voltage is called DC to DC conversion. 

从一种电源电压转化为另一种电源电压的操作称为DC-DC

2.boost

A boost converter is a DC to DC converter with an output voltage greater than the source voltage. A boost converter is sometimes called a step-up converter since it “steps up” the source voltage. Since power (P = VI) must be conserved, the output current is lower than the source current.

boost是输出电压大于输入的DC-DC

3.buck

A buck converter is a step-down DC to DC converter. Its design is similar to the step-up boost converter, and like the boost converter it is a switched-mode power supply that uses two switches (a transistor and a diode), an inductor and a capacitor.

buck是输出小于输入的DC-DC转换
