We’re lookingfor an Applications Manager to join the team.

Does this sound like a good role for you? 

In this role, you’d provide technical and engineering insight and direction to support andimprove usability, applicability, and adoption of products, platforms andsolutions to meet customer business needs. 

•  You’d diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues on customer installations—plus you’d deploy and train customers on new implementations and capabilities. 

•  You’d review and analyze feedback on product and solutions performance from customers and other application partners, working directly with Research and Development(R&D) to develop and implement technical roadmaps, specifications, and validation for improvements and enhancements. 

•  As apartner with customer technical leaders and sales, you’d identify business challenges, develop effective technical solutions for new accounts, and increase utilization and retention of products on current accounts. Enable relevantand advanced methodologies to meet customer goals; leveraging the best in classfeatures of Synopsys tools. 

Responsibilities

Manages both pre-sale and post-sale technical staff and support activities including assessment of how company products meet customer needs and the preparation ofproduct specifications for development and installation of customized applications/solutions, focusing on Signoff area. 

Deliver pre-sale technical support in sales presentations and product demonstrations. Drives Signoff products revenue by analyzing market trends and requirements, initiate product specific campaign for business growth. 

Establishes and maintains lines of communication with design engineering on issues such as considerations for product reliability. Works with marketing and product managers to define new products and may provide insight from the field back to these groups. Selects,develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of thefunction. 

Leveling Requirements 

Customarily manages the coordination of the activities of a department, with responsibility for priority-setting and results, including costs, methods and staffing while managing cross-functional communication. 

Regularly receives assignments in theform of objectives and uses discretion and independent judgment to determinehow to effectively and efficiently use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established companypolicies. Develops policies and procedures that affect immediate organization(s). 

Advise senior management on specialized technical or businessissues. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Frequently interacts with senior internalpersonnel, functional peer group managers, and major customers, normally involving controversial matters between functional areas, other business units, or customers and the company. Leads a cooperative effort among internal andexternal project teams.
