本文介绍了一种计算二维平面上两个直角矩形覆盖总面积的方法。通过定义每个矩形的左下角和右上角坐标，可以精确计算出两个矩形的总面积，并考虑它们之间的重叠部分。

Find the total area covered by two rectilinear rectangles in a 2D plane.

Each rectangle is defined by its bottom left corner and top right corner as shown in the figure.
