1971（昭和46）年千葉県生れ。

1995（平成7）年東北大学法学部卒業。2000年『オーデュボンの祈り』で、新潮ミステリー倶楽部賞を受賞し、デビュー。

2002年刊行の『ラッシュライフ』が各紙誌で絶賛され、好評を博す。2003年に発表した『重力ピエロ』は、ミステリファン以外の読者からも喝采をもって迎えられ、一気に読者層を広げた。また『重力ピエロ』で、1970年代生れとしては、初の直木賞の候補となる。

2004年『チルドレン』、2005年『グラスホッパー』、2006年『死神の精度』が直木賞候補に。2004年『アヒルと鴨のコインロッカー』で吉川英治文学新人賞受賞。洒脱なユーモアと緻密な構成で読む者を唸らせ、近年稀にみる資質の持ち主として注目を浴びている。

2008年『ゴールデンスランバー』で第5回本屋大賞と山本周五郎賞を受賞した。

人間嘘発見器、天才スリ師、演説の達人、精確な体内時計を持つ女。世間を賑わす銀行強盗四人組のお話。鮮やかな伏線回収やハリウッド映画のような粋な台詞回しに、何度読んでも夢中になってしまう。伊坂さんの本の中でもBest5に入るくらい大好きなシリーズ。 「伊坂幸太郎さんはどれがおすすめ？」と聞かれたら、一番にこの本を渡すと思う。

    友達のススメで読んだ作品なのですが、最初はミステリー物だと聞いていたのでそのつもりで読んでいた

    のですが確かにミステリーではあるのですがただ単に読んでいただけでは後半の伏線回収合戦に乗り遅れる

    印象を受けましたｗこれも回収あれも回収とそこまでやるか❣と思う程の脇道の物を拾い上げてメインに

    役割を与えるのでそこが純粋に凄いですし読み応えあります。

    主人公達が完全な「善」では無いのでそこは人を選ぶとは思いますがそこが気にならないなら全然おすすめ出来ます。

    個性派ぞろいの四人の銀行強盗団はキャラが立っているし、その会話には蘊蓄や小ネタがてんこ盛り。

    この作品を食べ物に例えるなら、具だくさんのチャーシュー麺といったところでしょうか？

    コクのある味噌スープにもやし、ネギ、メンマ、そして分厚いチャーシューなどが所狭しと盛られている感じ。

    それにしても作中に出てくるへそ曲がり男のクソ演説にはホント笑っちゃいました。

    小説では楽しいけれど、職場にいたら嫌なタイプかも。

    でも巧みにテンタメしてて面白かったです。

    大衆食堂のチャーシュー麺、プロの職人芸的作品かな。個人的にはグッジャブ！

    まあ、豪華なディナーをご所望の方には合わないかもしれませんが・・・

    This is a story about some very odd characters, a human lie-detector, an expert pickpocket, a talkative romantic, and a woman with a pinpoint sense of time (to the millisecond). They decide to rob banks because they see how it should be done correctly. Then a person from one of their pasts shows up and causes a double-cross. Kotaro Isaka mixes, off-beat humor with quirky characters and many plot twists. The ending will be unexpected and will make you smile. I found his work from movie adaptations. I'm learning Japanese to enjoy them in the original.
