    １巻、２巻とレビューを書いてきた。ユーモア。つまり多角的な視点。それを活かして、３巻のレビューを書こうと思う。１巻の時は社会。２種類の社会で生きる人間を対比させ、どちらの社会で生きる人間が地球にふさわしいかと書いた。２巻は１４歳当時の自身を振り返りながら、ソルジャー・シンの言動が身に詰まされると書いた。３巻は、愛。慈愛。友愛。恋愛。男女の愛。そこからの出産。親子の愛。血縁を超えた愛。そして希望と絶望。まさに混沌。この世は混沌。地球はそれを内包してくれている。それらを描いている。この作品から自給自足並びに自衛の手段を保持して、代議制民主政体の中で欲望の追求に耽るのがベストと思い至った。

    原作が載っていたコミックはマイナーだったため、第一話以外はリアルで読んでいませんでした。

    こうして改めて読み返すと、レベルの高い漫画だったんだなあと思います。

    テレビ版は終盤が詰め込み過ぎてしっぽ切れになってしまいましたが、原作と劇場版は名作と言えるでしょう。

    35年前の劇場版はイデオンの影に隠れてしまいましたが、どちらも甲乙つけがたい作品でした。

    どちらも破滅のあとの再生を描いた壮大なアニメ映画でしたから。

    つい最近、海外ドラマの｢4400｣(ﾌｫｰﾃｨｰﾌｫｰ・ﾊﾝﾄﾞﾚｯﾄﾞ)を観ていて、この漫画を思い出し

    ました。

    超能力者を題材にしたＳＦ作品には、何故か共通の筋書きがあります。

    “普通の人間”からの羨望に始まり、やがて異端への恐怖や敵対心…そして最後は戦い

    になってしまう悲しい展開。なぜ共存できないのか不思議でなりません。

    「地球(テラ)へ…」の主人公ジョミーは14歳の少年ですが、大人や社会への憧れと反発

    心をあわせ持ち、繊細かつ衝動的なキャラクターが何とも魅力的で、当時小学生の私で

    も共感できました。恋愛主体の少女マンガが読めないという男性にはお勧めの作品です。

    システムに最も深く疑問を持ち、しかしシステムによって創られ体制を守るためのエリート、キース・アニアン。対するESPを持つミュウたちの若き指導者、ソルジャー・ジョミー・マーキス・シン。超能力者VSマザーコンピュターという古典的な図式の反復だが、僕はそれよりも傑作『風と木の詩』の、修道僧になったカール・マイセ、北欧貴族のエリート、ロスマリネとジュールを思い出させる。超能力者のほうは、ストレートにセルジュを思い出させる。差別される異端ではあるが、その精神に野生の健やかさを持つ少年。
