    処女のポルノ小説作家が、奥さんが妊娠している男と初体験を済ませる物語。

    きめ細かい笑いの細工がほどこされ、随所に笑シーンがあり、楽しませながら、どこか、男女の綾の本質的なところを垣間見せるあたりが、この本の魅力であろう。

    後書きで著者が書いているとおり、時代背景か、人間関係か、なにかの縮尺を変えることによって奇想天外な物語になっているが、作者の体験に基づく極めて個人的な小説と言っていいと思う。その個人的な小説から、読者が普遍的な事象を抽出できるかが、この本の評価に繋がると思って読んでいたが、最後になって、難しいことを考える前に、まず笑い飛ばせよという、作者の強烈なメッセージを感じ取れる。

    芸能人やら、政治家やら、あるいは一般人やらが、倫ならぬ恋をしていて露見したときの見苦しい言い訳を聞いていると、人間の愚かさを認めた上でも笑えない。まずこの本を読んで、己のふしだらさを笑ってみろと言いたくなる。

    姫野カオルコ初期作品に共通の，がちがちに縛られた倫理観と自由な感性の女性が主人公です。

    発表時からかなり時間がたっていますので，時代風俗にはどうしても古びが感じられてしまいますが，作者の独自性はいつになっても新鮮です。

    作者の脱非恋愛体質期以前の作品ですので，切ないけど，恋の切なさではなくの小説でした。

    表面的に不倫の恋愛小説である本書は、アカルサが印象的な一冊だった。あっけらかんとしたアカルサではない。生きる知恵としてのアカルサである。悲劇のヒロインでは、飯が食えない。生きてゆけない。現実を生きる大人には生きる知恵を身につける必要がある。精神的な体力を身につける必要がある。そのようなアカルサである。

    そして僕はこの本を知り合いの女性にお勧めしたいと思った。これが、この本を読んでの感想である。 この小説の印象的なシーンに、病院での主人公と看護婦との会話がある。お互いのいたわり合いと心づかいに胸打たれるシーンである。

    実際に介護を経験した人の話を聞くと、肉体的にも、精神的にも大変な様子である。看護や介護に限らず、世間の荒波にもまれ、張り切っている女性は大変である。僕がこの小説をお薦めしたいのは、そんな女性である。自分探しの旅に出るなどもってのほかな日常に追われつつ、空虚の意味を知っており、コミカルになるかもしれないが、自分の内面を直視し、努力せんとする女性である。

    彼女に、その生い立ちとアカルサを身につけるしかない現実をお伺いしたとき、僕は自分を振り返って、家族も、休日の用事もなく、サラリーマンとしてのナイントゥーファイブしか背負っているものの、自分の軽さに唖然としたものである。彼女には「何一つ不自由の無い自分の身の上に感謝するばかりです。」としか言えなかった。だから、今は、彼女にこの小説を推薦するのである。見かけ上、コミカルな不倫の恋愛小説として楽しく読める、この小説は、貴女のようなアカルサを持つに至った女性へ捧げるために書かれたものである。

    完結編としての本作品では、三部を通しての主人公の成長・成熟、そしてその中で全体を貫く「処女性」が、あらためて印象的に描かれます。またウィットに富んだ文章のもと、知性・美意識・恋愛への批評など、前作までよりも高次元のテーマを内包しつつ、文化としての "ふつう" についての姫野哲学が語られていきます。個人と文化の関係性を処女性の観点から描ききった作品として、非常に完成度の高い三部作完結編となっていると思います。

    一方で、性愛文学そのものに関する "カテゴライズ" についても、本書中で語られます。こうしたカテゴライズの可能性は、まさに文化としての "ふつう" のあり様を端的に示していると言えるでしょう。

    でも本三部作がどのジャンルに分類されるかと言うと・・・たぶんどこにも分類できない。

    ペニスとヴァギナの話を、姫野カオルコ的に書けば「ヒメノ文学」になる。

    とでも言うしかないのでしょう。
