  Junto com algumas histórias do Homem-Aranha do final dos anos 70, as histórias compiladas aqui são clássicas e importantes para entender o rumo que as HQs de super-heróis tomaram nos anos 80, abordando temas mais adultos.

  Roteiro e arte muito bons, com dois dos artistas mais importantes das HQs americas de super-herói. Edição de qualidade, material (Capa Comum) parece frágil.

  Aus heutiger Sicht ist es vor allem immer noch die saustarke Artwork von Neil Adams, die den legänderen Run lesenswert macht. Aber ich kann mich noch gut an die Überraschung erinnern, als Green Arrow seinen Kumpel Green Lantern mit eindringlichen Worten darauf aufmerksam machte, dass es nicht reicht, seinen Job als Superheld blind zu erledigen und sich auf die Superschurken zu beschränken. Die klassische schwarz/weiß-Einteilung in Gut und Böse wird einer Gesellschaft nicht gerecht, in der Miethaie, Überbevölkerung und Drogenprobleme die Menschen viel unmittelbarer betreffen als die Gefahren, die das GL-Korps in fernen Galaxien abwendet.

  "Easy, you've no cause to yell at me! I have a job...I do it!" verteidigt sich GL gegen die entsprechenden Vorwurfe von GA, und der kontert:

  "Seems I've heard that line before...at the Nazi war trials!"

  Harter Tobak, dieser Vorwurf, aber er trifft und erfüllt seinen Zweck.

  Und so macht sich das Duo mit Unterstützung eines Wächters und Black Canary auf zu einem Roadtrip durch ein Amerika, wie es im Comic noch nicht gezeigt wurde.

  Fazit: Immer noch lesenswerte Story, überragende Artwork.

  Green Lantern/Green Arrow has been out of print for 5 years, until now. This full-colour 368-page trade paperback contains Green Lantern 76-87, 89, The Flash 217-219, 226, Green Lantern/Green Arrow 1-7. It is printed on stock paper which I don't mind at all. It is also a must-have for your comic book collection. Writer Dennis O'Neil tackles everyday issues in a dramatic storyline. And artist, Neal Adams' work is presented as wonderful as ever. This book was worth every cent, and it arrived just (In one day it arrived) in time for me to get it signed by Mr. Neal Adams himself this Saturday at Toronto's Fan Expo. Back to the point, this book is great. I highly recommend it.

  Un cómic básico en la colección de cualquier fan de Green Arrow y necesario para entender una época del cómic más enfocada en los temas sociales. Es un muy buen formato, aunque sencillo, no trae material extra, más que las portadas de los números de la compilación. El papel es bueno. El precio es adecuado. Llegó en perfectas condiciones.

  Cómic historico, todo un hito para DC comics que permitió definir y cimentar el carácter de los personajes de Hal Jordan y, especilamente, Oliver Queen (Como el superhéroe con fuerte conciencia social) que tan queridos son hoy en día, así como la especial relación de camadería y complicidad que mantendrán ya desde entonces.

  El paso del tiempo afecta a las historias narradas (como pasa con casi todo el material pre-crisis) tanto por estilo narrativo como en el contenido de las propias historias, pero aun se mantienen por sí mismas como historias muy sólidas, en las que, en cualquier caso, lo importante no es tanto la historia en sí como la evolución de ambos personajes y su relación, aspecto en el que sigue sobresaliendo. No obstante hay qye reconocer la fundamental aportación de O'Neil en renovar el género superheroico desterándo el estilo más "campy" que dominaba el género desde épocas anteriores, por un estilo más serio y maduro. El dibujo de Neal Adams, como siempre, alcanza unos niveles de calidad espectaculares aun hoy en día.

  En el aspecto negativo me esperaba una mejor edición, el papel es demasiado fino y aspero y las portadas no parecen lo suficientemente resistentes.
