    最後のギミックも含めて面白く読めたのだが、最後のギミックがあるからこそ、そこまでの話が十全に楽しめなかった印象もある

    ５つの短編形式で書かれた作品。刑務所という閉鎖的な場所の中で起こる事件の真相解明の話だけでなく、受刑者と刑務官の心のふれあいや受刑者、刑務官それぞれの苦悩のようなものが丁寧に描かれていて、面白い作品でした。

    中でも４話は読んでいて目頭が熱くなる素晴らしいストーリー。

    続編の「看守の信念」を併せて読むことを推奨。

    地味な舞台における、古臭い人間関係の、堅実&退屈な感じの作品だろう。。。と覚悟のもと読んでみたら想像以上に面白かったです。最後の仕掛けもエッ！？そうだったの？と言う感じで予想できませんでしたね。ボリュームはあるけど、冗長な箇所もあまり無く、良い娯楽コンテンツと思いました。
