    対談がこれほど面白いだけでなく、参考になるテーマを扱えるとは驚きだ。日本の留学生の多くがお客様だという話や、ノーベル賞についての隠れた裏話は興味深いだけでなく、こんなことで良いのかと心配になった。日本人の新聞や雑誌が扱わないテーマが、たくさん扱われている点で、得がたい情報が詰まった本として貴重だと思う。若き日の小泉首相が強姦事件を起こした事とか、ロンドンに逃げていたという話は信じがたいが、日本人の多くが志を失っている事からして、恥知らずが世界に流れ出しているとすれば、この本の問題提起はとても貴重だと思うし、台湾の中国人たちの日本観には教えられる事が多かった。多くの人に読まれるべき内容の本である事は間違いない。

    これだけ多様な人材を相手にして、思わず唸りたくなるような話題を論じ、それが非常に新鮮な切り口なので感嘆してしまう。読み進んでいたら驚いたことに、小泉首相の破廉恥行為についての話題があり、それが中野正剛の「戦時宰相論」と組み合わせてあった。これによってこの本は、何十年か後に歴史における証言として、多くの歴史学者が引用する基本資料となり、不滅の生命力を持つようになるのではないかと感じた。手にとって読んだ人だけが、ものすごい秘密に出会った喜びをかみ締めて、嬉しく感じるタイプの秘伝書に属すのかも知れない。
